Hooray! It’s Fall!

I love the colors of autumn. I spent too many years in the evergreen world of Montana and Colorado not to be thrilled by the visual variety of fall in the Pacific Northwest. Clear blue skies, crisp, cool weather, and unparalleled scenic beauty that’s too close to home to ignore *happy sigh*

Autumn in the Northwest

The care and feeding of a muse requires dates with the beauties of nature, and this time of year provides the perfect opportunity to indulge.

Bigleaf maples are stunning. You can see entire forests of red and gold on a drive toward Mt Saint Helens. Just the kind of terrain that invites druids and dryads and sidhe draoi. Without even leaving the comfort of my writing corner, the very air around me sends stories percolating through my brain.

What if a dryad fell in love with a high-powered developer? Could their love survive their clash of values? What would their child be like? Especially when she reached her teens…

I feel a novel coming on!
